Emergency Dentist in Spring TX Urges Alert after Patient’s Socket Scalds Face in Tech X-Ray Machine A North Texas dentist is warning people after one of his patients says he got second-degree burns on his face after getting an X-ray at the clinic. Justin White said his ordeal started when he was coming off of a 40-hour shift and headed to the dentist. He thought he was about to be sedated, but that wasn’t the case. Instead, he was told to lay down on the floor to get an X-ray. The dentist didn’t give him a mask or eye protection, and he found out his mistake when the doctor began to push liquid into his mouth. White was then left with second-degree burns on his right cheek and forehead. “You’re looking down on your face, and everything is just gooey, and it’s kind of hard to breathe,” said White. “It was horrifying.
